The EU4LEA Project, in close cooperation with ASP Border and Migration Department and Delta Unit, conducted a practical training on Radars and Navigation to the benefit of border police structures in Vlora, on 11th – 15th of September 2023. The purpose of this training was to enhance the knowledge and expertise of involved border police employees on the use of radars that are installed in new vessels, radar stations and border surveillance vans, as well as maritime navigation techniques and practices, in order to further develop the professional capacities of border police in the fight against cross border crime.
The needed expertise to cover the above-mentioned topics in these specific areas was provided by the Albanian Coast Guard and strongly supported by Delta Unit. Among others, this activity contributed further to enhance closer inter-agency cooperation between different Albanian agencies involved in integrated border management.
