The European Union for Law Enforcement in Albania – Phase 2 (EU4LEA 2) is a four-year co-funded action financed by the European Commission and co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The action is implemented under a Contribution Agreement in indirect management under the leadership of the Italian Ministry of Interior (Central Directorate of Criminal Police), in partnership with GIZ and Civipol.

EU4LEA 2 builds upon the achievements of EU4LEA Phase I and previous EU-supported rule of law initiatives in Albania.

The action supports Albania’s key law enforcement and judicial institutions in their efforts to align with EU standards and strengthen the fight against serious and organised crime, high-level corruption and financial crime.
